Hello Akeeba team and thank you for your wonderful services all these years!

I've been facing a strange problem for the last few months. I've tried to search as much as I could on your forum for a solution, but apparently no other user has reported this particular problem (maybe).

If this question has already been answered, I apologize in advance.

I have purchased Admin tools for many years. Now, i use it on about 250+ websites on 9 different servers. I'm facing the same problem on all my Joomla websites: Automatic updates to new versions are not happening.

The message i get: Error connecting to the server: 403
Failed to download package. Download it and install manually from........

The same thing happens with the Panopticon. I don't get any message there but it keeps telling me to update the component without any luck.

I assure you that I have filled in the subscription key correctly.

I recently purchased Akeeba backup. I've never had a problem with it and it updates normally.

Could you please help me?

I can tell you that across half a dozen servers and a few dozen sites I control the updates work fine. The only way you'd get a 403 trying to update is having the wrong Download ID or a server issue on your side as I have documented. Do double check your Download ID against what is listed on our site, not what you believe is correct. You may have accidentally reset it at some point. We have seen this quite a few times, that's why I have documented the instructions to check the Download ID. If you have confirmed that the Download ID on your site and the Download ID listed on our site are identical then the only explanation would be a server error on your side.

Regarding the Panopticon Connector, we no longer use Amazon S3 for the update source. You will have to install the new version 1.0.8 manually, after which a new update site will be used. The new update site uses a domain that's always a CNAME to the CDN infrastructure we're using at any given time.
