I do not know if this is a block from my Akeeba components or maybe something broke through or what, but I have been trying to get into this site for a few days.

I am out of options.

When I try to log in as super admin or from the front end as a registered user I am unsuccessful.

I do not get an error message for any clues. The screen just flashes and right back to the log in page.

I have cleared cache

I have tried a different browser and same results.

I have went into PHPmyAdmin and made sure my login for admin is in there. (it is)

The last time I was in the website , a few days ago I did make a back up but I can not get to it I did forget to download the latest

but I do have one from Jan 15 which will be only a few change to recreate. There is also a .jpa back up on my host files that is dated 2/28/26.

I have to go away right now for an appointment but if you have a guide of how to get into my own website when all else fails please send it.

Also as usual all hints and tips are appreciated.

I need to get into this site and add their next meeting ASAP.

Thanks Wade

It is the secret URL parameter. You have already asked about this and I have already given you the documentation page you need to address it. Please refer to your previous ticket here: https://www.akeeba.com/support/admin-tools/42608-admin-side-is-not-opening-a-login-page.html

Those do not work I do not get the white screen message with this log in.

However I tried the path http://www.badgerug.com/administrator/index.php?admintools_rescue=[email protected] (that is not my email)

I get the check your email; message on a white screen but I do not ever get the email for a recovery code? I thought 3rd time would be a charm but NOT

Also on the HT access method I tried that after I sent this question to you and it did not change anything?

I am needing to get this corrected by tomorrow morning as I have been fighting it for 3 days now. They want the next meeting posted ASAP

If I decide to restore it I have a few questions since I can not do it from the admin side with the nice restore button If I can not get there.

I see a backup folder which I think is current on my host file manager is that the same file Akeeba makes on the admin side in back up manager?

administrator/components/com_akeebabackup/backup

If so I could down load it from there, get kickstart and restore my site.

Also this site has been moved and refreshed several times in the last few years I see items in the data base that are from extensions I no longer use (like SPpagebuilder ) and several others have uninstalled from the website.

Lots of junk files?

If I were to drop the Database so it I was empty and remove the files and folders from the directory and I use a .jpa back up file I download, will it populate the database with all the same junk stuff or will only put in what the site is using at the time of the back creation?

OK I am done stressing until tomorrow it is time for me to quit for the day.

When you rename the provider.php file the entire Admin Tools system plugin stops loading. This means that Admin Tools' features no longer apply to your site; the code that implements them is in the plugin which can no longer be loaded by Joomla.

When you replace the .htaccess file's contents with the contents of Joomla's htaccess.txt you have undone any change the .htaccess Maker could possibly ever do.

When you delete the administrator/.htaccess and administrator/.htpasswd files you undo the administrator password protection.

When you do ALL THREE you have completely gotten rid of anything that Admin Tools can possibly do to, with, and for your site.

Therefore, if you have done all three and are still getting locked out the problem is that you have yet another security extension on your site. If you do, please remove it. This is not arrogance, this is not self-serving interest (okay, maybe a bit, and only as a side-effect), this is to protect our mutual sanity. When there are two or more security extensions they will have overlapping features and make diagnosing and addressing a problem impossible.
