Hi Nicholas!

Akeeba Admin Tools is Baller! so amazing. and easy.. except.. one thing .. we cannot install mysites.guru on a site that has admin tools installed already.

on sites where we install admin tools, and mysites.guru is already installed.. we just have to add the allowance of the /plugin/system/bhnetwork in the allowed paths.. and we are good to do..

but on sites where mysites.guru is not yet installed.. and admin tools is already added to the site.. we are getting an error "Copy file failed" when trying to install mysites.guru in both the installation via URL and file upload..

we've exhausted all our knowledge and research to install mysites.guru.. do you have any other ideas that could help us out? i tihnk if we uninstalled admin tools, it would be  doable, but we would prefer to address this issue without having to uninstall admin tools.

please help!

thank you for all you do!

Hope to see you are JDAY USA again this year.. sorry you were not able to join last year in person.. i will regretably not be in person this year.. but will be virtual

Many blessings.

Let me be very clear. Admin Tools will never interfere with extension installation or uninstallation.

The message you get comes from Joomla itself. The error message is really asinine because it tells you nothing – it could be a PHP upload temporary directory misconfiguration, a misconfigured temp-directory in Joomla, a directory ownership / permissions issue, or a full disk / inode quota at the server's OS level.

Joomla should ideally have more fine-grained messages, or at least provide troubleshooting instructions for extensions installation. They have done neither in the past 20 years. The best resource you will find is what I've written in https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-joomla/installation-updates-upgrades.html#installation-troubleshoot as I have at least put the effort to try document most common problems I have seen according to my experience doing support for these past 20 years.

Regarding JoomlaDay USA I won't be there in person, but I will be doing a presentation remotely. Right now, travelling from Europe to the USA is a very risky proposition. It's a really sad state of affairs. We have family in the USA we can't go visit because the risk of what they can do if they, dunno, don't like our face is far too great. Insanity :(
