When i set user agents blockade on in htaccess maker it puts this at the very top of the file before the rewriteengine on line. And on my server this then gets ignored.
If i put it under the rewriteengine on then it is works fine.
Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

Thank you for reporting this! You're absolutely right — this is a bug. The blocked user agents rules use Apache's RewriteCond/RewriteRule directives, which require RewriteEngine On to be active. However, the .htaccess Maker currently outputs these rules before the RewriteEngine On line, which causes them to be ignored on most server configurations.
We've confirmed the issue and will include a fix in the next release. In the meantime, you can try this dev release which implements this fix and let me know if that worked for you.
