enabled firewall. Then edited my helix template in administrator and got locked out.

Did not get an email (even though this was enabled).

This is outdated as this directory does not exist anymore. So can't use step 2 and locked out without being able regain access

Managed to get back in using a VPN. How I can stop helix template editing locking down my whole site.

Target url was: index.php?templateStyle=27&helixMode=edit

Here's what to do:

  1. Go to Components → Admin Tools → Web Application Firewall → Configure WAF.
  2. Click on the Cloaking tab.
  3. Set Allow site templates to Yes.
  4. Click Save & Close.
