I would show the username in the Blocked request email messages whenever the reason is "loginfailure". I've modified the Admin Tools: Blocked Request email template in order to show the {User} (see attached template) but the emails that I receive always return "Guest". When I look at the Control Panel (see attached) the username is displayed. I'm attaching an example of the email that I receive. How can I get this username to display in my emails?

You can't. This is only available as extra data in the Blocked Requests Log page. It's a weird consequence of when exactly in Joomla's page lifecycle this event is triggered. There was no reasonable way I could find to surface the information in the email.

So, what I understand from your reply is that the {USER} field on the mail template is of no use since it will always return "Guest". Moreover the {User} field is of no value on most (if not all) templates because it returns "Guest". Am I understanding this correctly?

No, it will not "always" return Guest. It tells you who is the currently logged in user.

If you only get blocked requests from Guest users, cool. If you start getting blocked requests for the same reason from several different logged in users then I'd say that probably something in your site is not working right. How can you tell these two apart?
