The same issue applies to Akeeba Backup 10.3.4
Update extensions has started returning these messages:
Warning
Update: Could not open update site #659 "FOF 3.x", URL: http://cdn.akeebabackup.com/updates/fof3.xml
Update: Could not open update site #660 "Akeeba FEF", URL: http://cdn.akeeba.com/updates/fef.xml
Update: Could not open update site #661 "FOF 4.x", URL: http://cdn.akeeba.com/updates/fof4_file.xml
Update: Could not open update site #663 "Akeeba Backup Professional for Joomla!", URL: https://cdn.akeeba.com/updates/pkgakeebabackuppro.xml
Update: Could not open update site #674 "Admin Tools Professional for Joomla", URL: https://cdn.akeeba.com/updates/pkgadmintoolspro.xml

Rebuild sites does not fix it.
In manage extensions I see: file_fof40, FOF, FOF30, file_fef
Should some of them be uninstalled?
Is there anything else you recommend me to do?

These URLs are valid, the files exist on our CDN, your site cannot open it which means the host is blocking it. Talk to your host.

The webhost responded that, "It appears that the server was not able to reach the website where the update files need to be downloaded from so I whitelisted the IP address of the website." Updates are now working again.

Please confirm whether any of file_fof40, FOF, FOF30, file_fef are still used, or whether they can be uninstalled.

Thanks

FOF30, file_fef have not been used since 2021 and our software's migration to the Joomla core MVC API.

file_fof40 was only used for bridge versions of our software (e.g. Akeeba Backup 8) and has not been updated or used since 2022.

FOF was Joomla's own copy of an outdated version of the framework we last updated in March 2016; yes, over a decade ago.

All of these should have been removed right before updating your Joomla 3 site to Joomla 4. Now, they can no longer be uninstalled as their packages depend on code which no longer exists in Joomla 5 and beyond. You will have to use a third party tool, like Akeeba Onthos and its Forced Uninstall feature, to be able to do that.
