I have not once been able to use the Joomla Update feature of this application while attempting to patch to Joomla 1.5.21. The latest error I'm getting is;
-----
ERROR:
The archive file is corrupt, truncated or archive parts are missing
-----
I've received 'Ajax error this' or 'another error that' and except for one site, I had to use 'Update Manager' to perform this task. I'm currently on my last site to update and when I received the above error, I had to post this message. I would have liked to enter this message as a 'support ticket' but that to does not work! Any assistance in this matter would be most welcomed.

"ajax error this" and "error that" doesn't help me to understand what the error was and help you. All I know now is that Admin Tools told you that an error happened, but I don't have the important part of the message, which tells me which error happened. An exact description of the error message would be greatly appreciated.

Also, there are two modes for writing to files. The one is the direct file writes, the other one is by uploading through FTP. Have you tried the FTP mode, in case that your file permissions do not allow them to be directly overwritten?
