When I run Repair & Optimise Tables it seems to run fine but then gives me a 403: Access Forbidden Error. I am using Admin Tools Pro 1.0.1 on Joomla 1.5.22

The 403 error comes from the last step of the process, where it tries to do a redirection. This is an issue with some servers which, unfortunately, can not be worked around without breaking compatibility with most live hosts. You can ask your host to take a look at the URLs which throw the 403 error (it's easy for them to look in the log files) and maybe modify their Apache configuration to handle them properly.

I know. The thing is that web servers should normally be able to handle both http://www.yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_akeeba and index.php?option=com_akeeba as the one and same URL when the HTTP referrer is a URL inside the administrator area of your site. Unfortunately, some servers support only the one or the other. I try to use the most widely used format for the URLs, but they sometimes fail :( If your host replies that the problem doesn't come from this kind of server setup, you can always send me a Personal Message with Super Admin login credentials to your site so that I can try to debug it on your server.

Thanks for the support, I am working with the client to get him to move over to my server. He is with hostmonster and after this build I have yet another host to add to my "Will not build a website" list!

If you want to login to see if it will help your extension I would be happy to give you a login though.

You can send me a Personal Message with Super Admin login information so that I can take a look myself. Sometimes it may be something which can actually be worked around, i.e. a Javascript error. Use the Personal Messages link on the top right module box of this page (the purple background one)

Thank you for the login info. I tried using Firefox 3.6.12 on my MacBook Pro. The backup completed successfully. Maybe you have some browser plugin or an antivirus/firewall/Internet security application which gets in the way?
