just thought i would drop a quick line with some possible feature suggestions on future releases if possible of course.

- a simple one, master password, radio button to select all. pretty straigh forward.
- a remote tool to backup, update joomla core and admin tools on multiple website would be fanasic. Say for example if you managed 10 sites instaed of one at a time.
- ip address notification on admin login with excisting email.

maybe some of the above are already in the works. thx

I think that on the first suggestion what you mean is that we're missing a checkbox to select all of the checkboxes beneath it. Is that correct?

The second request is halfway there. Remote backup & download is already there, it's called Akeeba Remote Control and we just released a cross-platform version running on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. Regarding updates, I will have to investigate this possibility.

The third wish is implemented in the SVN version of Admin Tools Professional (what will be version 1.2 in a few weeks). More specifically, it will send you an email with the IP address and username of the user who logged into your backend.

hi Nicholas,

yes i mean a checkbox to select yes to all below would be great as i believe most people set everything to yes anyway.

remote backup is great however as a step by step process, first backup and then update of joomla core and or admin tools would be fanstasic, im not sure if its possible however definately something for you guys to think about. For people who anage 15-20 websites ability to backup and update all via remote desktop would save much painfull process to login into all and etc.

excellent work on the ip, very handy tool.

what else you have planned for future?

I have a very long list of things to do in the near and not-so-near future. However, unless I implement something I don't want to advertise it :) Let's say that when I implement everything I have in mind, Admin Tools will have even better security issues and quite a few SEO tools as well.

Regarding your feature requests, they are already in my TO-DO list. My only reservation about the remote updates is that you either need to have all your Joomla! files writable by PHP (e.g. using suPHP or Apache's ITK module), or have supplied all your FTP information to Joomla!'s Global Configuration page.

thanks Nicholas, cant waiut for it all to happen :)

another possible suggesting might be prior to overwriting default or previous .htaccess access file maybe auto create a htaccess backup file. this should be done by users by default however im sure many dont bother and then realise they have a problem which they cant easily rectify (at least if going back to the standard joomla .htaccess file) what you think about that 1?

Granted! Starting with the next release, the old .htaccess file will be copied to .htaccess.admintools. In case something bad happens, you will be able to use that file to overwrite .htaccess to revert to the last known good condition.

Nicholas,

Something simple you might want to put on the to do list, re the Log security exceptions in WAF, maybe have option to auto delete list based on time, say 30 - 60 - 90 days, etc. I usually tend to avoing logs as i have seen them get Massive if forgotten about. If it only stored for 30 days it would be a no brainer to have it active. What you think?
