Hi,

I can't get the URL redirection function to work properly.

I've created a new URL in the URL redirection section, and have clicked on the URL to verify that it works... except that it still returns a 404.

The only other URL re-writing component is the default Joomla SEF.

I've tried moving this plugin both to order 1 and to order 10000 as suggested in other posts.

What am I missing?

The order of the plugin has to be 1 or, even better, -10000 (note the minus sign; setting it to 10000 without the minus sign is the exact opposite than what you're supposed to do). That said, please take a very good look at our documentation on the URL redirection feature.

If all else fails, please tell me the exact contents of the Existing URL and the New URL you are setting up in Admin Tools, as well as the exact URL you are trying to use on your site in order to access this redirection. I think that you may be simply entering the wrong data.

Thanks for that!

I hadn't discovered the documentation - now that I've got the existing / new URLs the correct way round and the plugin in the right order, it all works.

Much appreciated!

Cant get it to work. What iΒ΄m trying to do is getting Rocketthemes Newspager (mod_roknewspager) to redirect to the "proper" article:

When guests try to access Romantisk hotellweekend i MalmΓΆ (from the Newspager on our startpage www.malmo.hotelduxiana.com):
http://www.malmo.hotelduxiana.com/sv/component/content/article/42-fp-rnp/147-romantisk-weekend-malmo.html

i want them to go to another article:
http://www.malmo.hotelduxiana.com/sv/hotell-paket-malmo/romantisk-weekend-malmo/romantiskt-hotell-malmo.html

This is how i used the Url Redirecton:
Existing URL = sv/hotell-paket-malmo/romantisk-weekend-malmo/romantiskt-hotell-malmo.html
New URL = sv/component/content/article/42-fp-rnp/147-romantisk-weekend-malmo

Nothing changes, is it possible ???

I also wonder about the first post here.
Should i change the standard Joomla SEF plugin to position 1 ??? Is that what you mean. Right now itΒ΄s nr: 8

I got:
System - Admin Tools -30000
system - Jfrouter -101
System - Jfdatabase -100
System - Titlemanager 3
System - RokCandy 7
system - SEF 8

The ones in between are disabled.
