I am curious on how accurate the security tools are? After updating to this simply awesome version and enabling my email. I am getting pounded with reports of bad behavior (mostly) and I am wondering how much trust I can put into these reports?

I know there is no fool proof way of knowing for sure but what exactly does Bad Behaviour mean they are doing?

The Bad Behavior feature of the Web Application Firewall merely integrates the Bad Behavior code in your Joomla! site. It's not 100% accurate. It is known to occasionally misfire, especially when the web visitor is using an older browser or has dubious extensions installed on his browser. The benefits are very sweet: not only it keeps spammers away, it will also block email harvesters and other malicious automated scripts (hacking bots) away. It's up to you to decide if the occasional false positive is acceptable or not.

As written (quite bluntly) in our disclaimer, the use of automated security software is not to be considered a panacea. Its ultimately the web site owner's responsibility to evaluate the needs of his site and apply those security policies that best fit the particular business needs of his site.

Absolutly Nicholas, I am aware that nothing is 100%. From you answer I am comfortable with some false possotives and for me the benifit definatly out weights the few that are wrong.

Thanks for your take on this...

You're welcome! It's a developer's responsibility to explain to the users how and under what terms and circumstances his code works :)
