hi nico,

im not a fan of fopen and will since be disabling it for other reasons. its can be / i believe is a nightmare of a function.

i cannot for the life of me get AT updates working with curl. curl is enabled and working fine.

any suggestions?

Note: Your original topic didn't render because it had forbidden words in the title. Try not using them, please ;)

I hate URL fopen wrappers myself. I consider this feature a fatal security sin. All of my software works correctly with cURL. That said, there was a bug in all published 2.0.x releases of Admin Tools and all 3.2.x releases of Akeeba Backup. I was only able to properly track down and resolve this issue yesterday (yeah, it only took me two friggin' months...). It looks like it was just a forgotten parameter on a single line. For now, you'll have to upgrade manually. The next versions will have this problem resolved and everything will work out of the box as it should!

sorry about that mess man, i didnt realise on the words, must have been a typo :) actually after the 406 your site wasnt renderring propery so i thought you might have been doing something.

thanks for the update bro, i was pulling hair out thinking it was box end, even looked through some of your code :) and thought i would ask the question. yeah for sure fopen and URL include are both nightmares.

hopefully its all good with curl on next release. when you thinking?

on another note, not crucial but you might want to swith off server signature, no reason to show if you dont have 2. In fact i dont for the life of me understand why they are even on by default, ever. stupid if you ask me.

I am working on some .htaccess improvements. Once I'm through, I'll publish the next release (most likely that'll be next week).

The server signature is beyond my control right now. I don't have full root access to the server and there seems to be no WHM option to turn it off. *sigh*
