Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.2.14
MySQL version: 5.0.92
Host: PowerVPS
Admin Tools Professional version: 2.0.5

Hello,
Recently, I purchase the Admin Tools Pro, and generally I'm very happy with its features.
I have a problem though. Admin Tools can not detect my Joomla version. Before I check all the tips to make my site updatable, I assume that Admin Tools has to determine which Joomla version I use. But Instead of that I get: "Joomla Core Unknown"

Could you please help me?

Do you see the Joomla! version in the top right corner of your site's back-end? If you do, what does it read?

Please ask your host to enable TCP/IP communications over ports 80 and 443 to joomlacode.org (IP: 206.123.111.164) and akeebabackup.com (IP: 174.136.7.91) in their server firewall.

My hosting provider stated it is opened to port 80, but not port 443, does this feature effect any of the other functions of admin tool?

Nope. Only the Joomla! version check and Live Update (updating Admin Tools itself) are affected. Everything else doesn't require data from an external source.
