MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: jumba.com.au
Admin Tools version: 2.1.3 PRO

Description of my issue:

Originally I had myself setup as the 'Super Administrator' now I no longer want to be the super admin and Ive created another user who I wish to make the super admin and re-assign myself as only 'Admin'.

I have 3 issues here:

1. In the Joomla User Manager when I try to re-assign my Super-Administrator to 'Administrator' it says
403 - An error has occurred.
Access Denied!

2. When I try to re-assign the new user i've created from 'Registered' to 'Super Administrator' it says
403 - An error has occurred.
Access Denied!

3. When I click on 'Super Administrator ID' and i get the error
JUser::_load: Unable to load user with id: 62

Please help me out here.. :(

Thank you,
Mandar.

Hi Mandar,

For the first two issues please go to WAF Configuration and set the Disable Editing Back-end User Properties to No. The 403 will go away. Please read the documentation to find out what this option does and you will understand immediately what is going on.

The other error message is not important. It means that user 62/42 does not exist. That's good from a security perspective. Unfortunately, when we ask Joomla! to tell us if the user exists and it doesn't, it throws this error message. There Is no way to suppress It. Again, we have documented this behaviour in our documentation.

So, there is no problem here. Please taje some time to read the documentation and understand what each option does. It's a very useful step towards understanding the basic security concepts as well!
