Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes - All
Joomla! version: 1.5
PHP version: 5
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: HostGator but moving to Rochen later today!
Admin Tools version: 2.12

Description of my issue:
After redirecting the non www domain to www.domain via .htaccess now any subdomain becomes www.sub.domain.com.

How do I allow sub domains and keep the www redirect?

-btw My only complaint about your products is that I didn't find them sooner. They literally have improved my workflow to such a degree that I can't imagine developing without them!

Hi Aubrey!

Since the .htaccess rules are propagated from the parent to the children directories, the only solution is to place a .htaccess file in the subdomain sites as well. If it's a Joomla! site, do use the .htaccess Maker to work around this. If it's not, you can simply use a .htaccess with RewriteEngine Off in the subdomain's root to turn off URL rewriting for the subdomain and disable the enforced addition of www to the domain name.
