Description of my issue:

After backupon RC6-dev the page displays and no backup lits is displayed

Akeeba Backup - An unhandled Exception has been detected 500 implode(): Argument #1 ($pieces) must be of type array, string given

The content below this point is for developers and power users.

Joomla 4.0.0-rc6-dev – PHP 8.0.7 on Linux

On a RC5 the list of backups is shown but when debug is on, these infos are displayed (I don't have these notices on a RC5-dev)

I just tried on a local test site (Wampserver 64 PHP 8.0.8 MariaDB 10.6.3).

With RC5-dev, no error on the manage backups page.

With RC6-dev same error as above and two warnings

Warning: Undefined variable $firstday in D:\wamp64\www\Joomla_4.0.0-rc5-dev\layouts\joomla\form\field\calendar.php on line 106

Warning: Undefined variable $weekend in D:\wamp64\www\Joomla_4.0.0-rc5-dev\layouts\joomla\form\field\calendar.php on line 107

I'm always using debug on and maximum for error reporting ont the test sites.

We are no longer accepting bug reports for Akeeba Backup 8 and Joomla 4. We will be releasing Akeeba Backup 9 exclusively for Joomla 4, rewritten from the ground up to use Joomla 4 core MVC and native Bootstrap 5 styling.

For what it's worth, it's not even a bug in our software. It is a bug in Joomla. I have filed the issue report with Joomla, giving them enough information to fix it: https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/issues/34948
