Description of my issue:

Hi there! I have looked through the documentation AND the public help tickets as best as I could but I have been unable to locate the answer to my (possibly dumb) question. Forgive me for wanting to not mess things up on my site!

Anyway I'm running the above versions of the joomla and akeeba and would like to update to the latest releases.

I am not sure if there is a correct method of upgrading.

IE should I update to Joomla 4 before upgrading to their akeeba equivalents or upgrade the akeeba versions before the updating Joomla 4? In order not to make a duplicate ticket, I would also like to ask the same about admin tools. Should I upgrade admin tools first or Joomla?

Many thanks!

Akeeba Backup: install the latest Akeeba Backup 8 release (compatible with Joomla 3 and 4). Upgrade your site to Joomla 4. Upgrade to Akeeba Backup 9. Go to Components, Akeeba Backup for Joomla and follow the instructions to migrate settings from AB8 and then uninstall AB8. Please note that Akeeba Backup is the only one of our components which requires a manually triggered migration.

Admin Tools: install the latest Admin Tools 6 release (compatible with Joomla 3 and 4). Upgrade your site to Joomla 4. Upgrade to Admin Tools 7. No migration is necessary.

Akeeba Ticket System, Akeeba Engage, Akeeba LoginGuard: we only have a single version that's compatible with both Joomla 3 and 4.

Every other extension we actively maintain: install the latest version compatible with Joomla 3; it's also compatible with Joomla 4 for the purpose of upgrading Joomla. Upgrade to Joomla 4. Install the latest, Joomla 4–only version of the extension.
