Hello,

looking at your log file, you're trying to upload a single file that is about 6Gb of size. This is why your FTP transfer "hangs", it's busy uploading such a large file.

Please get inside the backup profile configuration page, under the Archiver Engine settings, set  a part size of 250Mb and try again.

Akeeba Backup will create a multipart archive made up of files up to 250Mb, so the upload of each part will take less time.

You are absolutly correct , it works when using 250 MB multipart files.

My fault since I had added heavy video files recently.

Is there an easy way to exclude from saving this particularly heavy video folder ?

Thank you for help

Yes, sure, take a look at the Files and Directories Exclusion page: https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/exclude-data-from-backup.html#files-and-directories-exclusion
