Hello

I keep getting this message:

Oops! Your Akeeba Backup database tables are corrupt.
Akeeba Backup has detected that its database tables were missing or corrupt. Logged in as a Super User to your site's administrator backend, please go to the System menu item in the sidebar Joomla menu. Select the Database link in the Maintenance pane. Select the Akeeba Backup item from the list and click on the Update Structure button in the toolbar to fix the database table issues. Then retry accessing Akeeba Backup.

I tried following the steps above and have read through the forum and articles and nothing has worked.

I haven't performed any backups, I just got this site up a few days ago, so I don't have an Akeeba Backup log file to attach.

Thank you kindly for your time

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

This message appears when Akeeba Backup detects that it cannot load its backup profile configuration. Usually, this means that something is going wrong with the database table itself. Sometime, it may mean that the backup profile is corrupt.

The easiest thing to test of the two is the latter.

Go to Components, Akeeba Backup for Joomla, Profile Managements.

Select the backup profile — I believe you only have one, profile #1.

Click on the Actions dropdown button on the toolbar.

Select Reset.

Now go back to Components, Akeeba Backup for Joomla.

If you are still getting the same message it means that one or more of the Akeeba Backup tables are corrupt. This is the kind of problem that Joomla's Database page cannot address when you click on that Fix button (Joomla can only try to fix the database schema, these are the fields defined in the table, not the database data which is what is broken when the table is corrupt).

Use your host-provided database tools to repair the tables with _akeebabackup_ in their names. If you do not know how to do that please ask your host; each host may have a different database administration interface and they know how to guide you through it.
