Dear support,

I am moving all my websites from SiteGround.com to https://www.vimexx.nl/joomla-hosting -->Joomla hosting Extreme, using your great software.

13 websites went well without any problem

On the 14th website, I get the red flag "Pre-installation check - Database Support --> No" for the first time in my life.

As it is a shared hosting environment where I didn't do any PHP or server environtment customization, so all 14 websites shares the exact same environment, I can't explain why this occurs on the 14th website. It should be exactly the same PHP and server environment. I also just created a fresh new database on it without any problem.

I found out in your knowledge support database that you are using the test (function_exists('mysql_connect') || function_exists('mysqli_connect') || function_exists('pg_connect') || function_exists('sqlsrv_connect'))

Testing on these functions separately gives:

mysql_connect -->False
mysqli_connect -->True
pg_connect --> False
sqlsrv_connect -->False

I get the same test results on the 13 successful restored website environments, and I think your pre-installation check should (still) be successful, as the function mysqli_connect exist (1 out of 4 in your (or)test statement ;-).

For the first time, I see that SiteGround.com has updated PHP from 7.4.29 to 7.4.30. Can that lead to any problem?

Do you have any idea why I got this red flag on Database Support? What more does Angie test at the Databases Support test? Any idea how to fix this?

Many thanks in advance, Nico

Hi Nicholas,

Cosmetic shit?!, it costs me 3 hours investigation ;-)

But do I understand you correctly that it only occurred in the latest 8.1.7 AkeebaBackup version? Can I safely ignore it and continue with the restore?

Keep up the good work, I really love your product,

Nico

It's cosmetic because clicking Next lets you restore the site.
