Hello,

first of all I'd suggest to exclude that folder. It only includes cached files so they're not useful in a backup. Most likely there are so many entries that the backup gets halted because it uses too many resources or it takes too much time and the host kills it.

Please exclude that folder and try again.

Thanks that fixed the issue. Backup completed successfully.

Can I upgrade to Akeeba Professional now with my Joomla 3.9.12 and my PHP version without uninstalling the Core?

Yes, you can update to version 8.2.4, as per our compatibility page: https://www.akeeba.com/compatibility.html
