I recently purchased a subscription to Akeeba Backup Pro for Jooma and I'm having a restoration issue. I'm trying to restore the backup that I created with Akeeba Backup Pro 8.2.6 to my localhost and when the Kickstart 7.1.2 Pro or Core gets to the part where the Installation step should start, I'm told that there is no installation script and the restore is unusable.  However, if I go back to my live site on GoDaddy and create the backup using Backup Core 8.2.6 and then use it to restore to my localhost everything works like it should. I'm thinking that there must be a setting in the Pro version that I don't have set correctly in order to restore to localhost. Could you help?

Hello,

both Core and Pro will let you restore your backup archive. I suspect something went wrong in your localhost installation. Can you please try to install Akeeba Backup twice in a row without uninstalling it?

In this way you should have all the files installed, including the installation archive and you should be able to restore it anywhere.
