I get the following errors when I attempt to install the professional version using URL.

The Professional version does not have a public download URL. That's why you need to subscribe to it. We do, however, provide personalised Direct Install Link URLs once you are logged into our site. This is documented in https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/installation-updates-upgrades.html#installing-from-url

Another way to get that URL is the following:

  • Log into our site.
  • Go to the Downloads page.
  • Click the link “Release notes and all files for version 8.2.7” under Akeeba Backup 8.2.7 (or whichever software you are subscribed to; the same concept applies for all of our software).
  • On that page you will find both Akeeba Backup Core and Professional. Next to the Professional edition's Download Now button you will see the Direct Install Link link. Right click on it and select Copy link address or whatever your browser calls this.
  • Go to your site's install from URL and paste this Direct Install Link URL.

Note: please DO NOT share this URL including but not limited to pasting it into a public support ticket (like this one here), or sending it to a friend / coworker. The URL contains your Download ID which must be kept secret.
