Please go to the Configuration page and set the minimum execution time to 2 seconds. You now have 10 seconds, which is too much. I also see that your server uses the FastCGI PHP interface which is known to occasionally cause some issues, but not so early in the backup process.

If even with this change you still get AJAX error, please PM me the URL to your site and Super Administrator username/password so that I can debug it right on your server.

Peter, you should have read the documentation. It would save you the trip to the forum and the email to yours truly :D

Here's the error your Joomla! XML-RPC layer reports:
JError XML-RPC Server not enabled.

This means that you just have to got to J!'s Global Configuration, Server tab and set Web Services to On. That's all.

i just turned it on, and the backup worked like a champ.

There are two different problems mentioned in here. I have no idea which one of the two you are referring to. I also do not know which steps you followed, because in here we have covered a lot of approaches.

Please take a look at the manual, make sure everything is installed (latest versions - check your version to make sure) and enabled and if the error persists, please start a new thread. Reusing a thread which may be unrelated to your problem only makes support more difficult for us.

Thank you!

Nicholas, can i ask you which module or component you use to make the popup when we enter the website?
Sorry about the off topic

Ah, not off topic at all :) It's one of my commercial extensions, called "Visitor 2 Buyer". This one is being sold through Joobi's website at http://www.ijoobi.com/component/option,com_jmarket/controller,product-display/lang,en/pid,60/task,show/. It has three built-in modes of content presentation; this site uses the modal dialog. The module comes, as you'd expect, with complete documentation which describes creating such an effect step-by-step.
