I am getting an HTTP Not Found error when trying to do automatic updates. Was able to download and install no problem (Using the same U/P in parameters)

Your topic and your text don't match. :) I think you're talking about the "Check for Update" button on the Control Panel screen. The user ID and password are only required for the Pro update. You should be getting a notice that 3.0.b2 is available. If you aren't, you need to requery the server. I'm not sure which server the updates are hosted on, a simple retry may work if it was too busy the first time you tried.

I am confused... I thought if I put in my username and password, when I clicked 'Update' I would get my pro update? Is that not what is supposed to happen? I got the notice, but it won't update.

Instead, I get an error saying not available.

You are correct, you should get your Pro update. What version does the automatic update think is available? 3.0.b2 was just released, so it your Akeeba is trying to install a 3.0.b1, then you need ot manually requery the server. The 3.0.b1 file would no loner be available on the update server.
