With good old Joomlapack for the first time giving me errors, when restoring a new site ( locally created then restored to live server) I finally decided that I really must think of going to Akeeba (and subscribe - after all it's what you guys deserve for what you provide) - and restoring seemed to work without error using Core. Howver there still are questions.....

Referring to my previous post in core forum, regarding path errors on local restore: - this time using AB Pro in reverse (to restore a live site to local) in the ootb config there are still the same garbled file paths - which were somewhat resloved in core svn174. Also noted other path errors (e.g. page dispalyed after login still points to live path as opposed to local path).

So how and when are you dev releases incorporated in to stable releases? - e.g. I seem to have gone backwards in installing Pro over Core (e.g. file path errors).
And if I wanted to go back to Core svn's can I jus reninstall or need to remove AB Pro first?

Apologies if I seem to be being picky - and I know changing paths is hardly a big deal - but I was just so used to Joomlapack working seamlessly restoring both ways it is just concerning that I found issues in the first use of AB and am concerned about finding anymore. I just want to trust AB for transferring/ restoring form live to local and local to live as much as trusted JP. :-)

Oh and have not used AB much since to comment on wheter firefox tabs still close!
Thanks for the continuing support.

You did move backwards in time when you installed Akeeba Pro 3.0 (stable). You now have access to the Pro versions of the Developer's Releases, so you can "fast forward" and fix the issues that you fixed with Core previously. :)

My understanding is that we will go to 3.1 beta 1 about August 1st. That will put the current Developer's Release fixes into the mainstream releases.
