I set the root to 755 and it did not work problem persists

Some hosts have folders that are owned by the host, not by you. GoDaddy, for example, has a folder where site access statistics are stored that you can't back up. But in that case, you don't need to, it isn't a part of your website. If this is the case here, you can exclude the folder from your backup to keep from getting the message. If this is a folder that needs to be backed up, then look at the permissions on the folder itself.

hello and thank you for the reply.

Like I mentioned above I have several sites running on these servers. and the backups worked fine. this is the only one that's having issues. Permisions are set to 755.

I can provide access to the site joomla if need be.

whats next?

Please zip and post your backup log, that will give some additional information.

sure please find it attached.

Oh, now I get it! :) Please make sure the permission settings on the root folder of your site are odd, i.e. 755. I think that is the problem. :)
