Hi.

Altough i use all the latest versions: Akeeba Remote Backup 2.5, Akeeba Remoting XMLRPC services for Akeeba Backup 3.x and Akeeba Backup Professional 3.0.1 (2010-07-22) i am not able to login to my website (Joomla 1.5.20) to create a backup. I keep getting the error that my username and password are incorrect. I am sure that i am using the right combination to login as a Super Admin.

Any help will be apriciated.

Regards Zocor.

Is this a restored site? Did you have any problems while backing up or restoring? Did you change the administrator login information when you restored your site? If yes, you may have hit a bug in the restoration script of Akeeba Backup 3.0 which is fixed in 3.1.b1. In this case, you can try following the instructions in my blog to create a new Super Administrator to your site. If you still have access to the original site it is easier to upgrade to Akeeba Backup 3.1.b1 and take a new backup, though.

In the mean time i have downloaded "com_akeeba-svn226-pro" and manualy installed it on my website. The website is a clean install because the latest restore whit v3.0.1 destroyed my website and i had to newly install Joomla 1.5.20. Luckely i could save my articles en some other stuff from the old database backup so i have everything up and running.

Now a backup and restore test whit "com_akeeba-svn226-pro" work just fine, but still remote backup can't login my site to make a backup to store it on my local system. As sayed the login is for SA and is correct.

I can't figure out what goes wrong, do you have any suggestions left?

Regards, Z.

The new developer's release (just like 3.1.b1 and 3.1.b2) require a new version of plg_jpremote to be installed on your site, due to changes in the backup engine which broke the old plugin. You can download the plugin directly from here.
