hi!

we have used akeeba succesfully for 3 sites that have been hacked! Recently we have had aot of sites hacked. I will look into the admin tools and see if that can help us casue I have liek 10 sites.

Does akeeba restore the DB to the date the back was run? Or does it use the db on the server?

Basically my question is in regards to the articles etc.. For example if we create an article today and restore the backup for a week before today. This article does not get restored or does it?

The backup contains all of your site's files, a complete snapshot of your database (full structure and data!) and the installer script. This means that if you get hacked you can wipe out the server (delete files and database) and restore from the backup. After all, this is what a backup is all about: being able to restore a site to a last known good state.
