Akeeba Backup for Joomla!

Mandatory information about my setup:
Joomla! version: 1.5.22
PHP version: 5.3.2
MySQL version: 5.1.41
Host: Rackspace Cloud
Akeeba Backup Professional version: 3.1.5

We sucessfully moved a huge site over using akeeba from one server to another... (JPA) and the restore went fine... but right after the restore... we were unable to login to backend.
I figured out it was due to the plugins Jsecure.. so, i removed the files and remove the row from the jos_plugins table as well.

i also add the new ip address as a $live_site in the configuration.php... still no luck.

No matter either we put the right username and password or wrong... it's doesn't work!

Can you shed some light on this please?

UPDATE: i installed a test joomla installation 1.5.23 on the same server in a / directory to make sure server is configured fine and it is... i can get in fairly easy.

UPDATE: upgraded to joomla 1.5.23 and still can't login.
Uploaded the whole new joomla 1.5.23 and Can't login fine now.

i figured out that some of the files might have corrupted while the extraction or uploading/downloading.

Thanks Nick for the forum i guess.

Yes, that sounds like missing or not extracted files. Please check that everything on your site works correctly.
