EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:

My development server have reached full capacity and I want to disable AKEEBA backup in all of the website for just this weekend until I have a new HDD Disc and more space, what is the best way to disable akeeba backup? PLease help someone help me. I am affraid I stop the server. I only want to stop akeeba backup.

Akeeba Backup doesn't run automatically unless you set up a CRON job. So, all you have to do is to disable that CRON job. Since this is a host-specific task, you can ask your host how to do that.

If, however, you are using the now-defunct Akeeba Backup Lazy Scheduling plugin, you can simply go to your site's back-end, Extensions, Plugin Manager and unpublish the "Akeeba Backup Lazy Scheduling" plugin.

Yes, with all CRON jobs disabled Akeeba Backup won't run unless you go on purpose and click on the Backup Now button. After your HDD upgrade you can re-enable them and you're back in business :)
