Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 1.7.0
PHP version: 5.2.3
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: Pro 3.3.4

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:
The Akeeba Backup admin module gives critical info about failed backups etc. However, in Joomla 1.7, the module icon appears in its own accordion, rather than integrated with the other quick icons. The big issue is that the Akeeba accordion is closed by default, meaning that I have to manually open it to see the notifications - rather pointless.

I could move the Akeeba module above the standard icons, so that it is always open, but that is not a great solution.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Brendon

Right now this is not possible, due to the way admin modules are rendered by the back-end template. I have submitted a patch which addresses that. It will be included in Joomla! 2.5, scheduled for release in January 2012. So, just be patient for another four months :)
