EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:
I am able to backup just fine but when I try the Restore I get the following error:

500 - An error has occurred.
Unknown controller restore

Hi Nicholas, I bought and downloaded the latest Pro version last night: com_akeeba-3.3.4-pro.zip

There is a known issue with Joomla!'s extensions installer "forgetting" to copy some files, especially when upgrading from Core to Pro. Without uninstalling the component, download the ZIP installation file again and install it again using Joomla!'s Extensions, Install/Uninstall (or Extensions, Manage on Joomla! 1.6 or later). Did that work?
