Joomla! version: (1.5.18)
PHP version: 5.2.17

Akeeba Backup version: Akeeba Backup 3.3.11 (2012-01-02)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

There are several things to try here.

First, try to use the JPA format instead of the ZIP format. It's much less resource-intensive.

If that doesn't work, try setting the following:
- Minimum execution time: 1 second
- Maximum execution time: 5 seconds
- Runtime bias: 50%

If this still doesn't work, take a look at the t3-assets directory on your site's root. How many files does it have? If you see several hundred files (rule of thumb: over 500) it is possible that you will run out of memory or time when Akeeba Backup is listing its contents. I see that you have adequate PHP memory available (64Mb, which is plenty) and a slow-ish host, so my guess is that too many files will cause a timeout. There are two things to try:
- Ask your host about the proper way to increase the PHP max_execution_time to 30 or 60 seconds.
- If nothing else is possible, skip backing up the t3_assets directory using the "Files and Directories Exclusion" button in Akeeba Backup's Control Panel page.
