There are only a handful of plugins running throughout your site and you can disable them by removing the following files (Joomla! 1.5)
plugins/system/aklazy.php
plugins/system/srp.php
plugins/system/akeebaupdatecheck.php
or, if you are on Joomla! 1.6 and later, the following folders:
plugins/system/aklazy
plugins/system/srp
plugins/system/akeebaupdatecheck
If this doesn't help, the problem is irrelevant to Akeeba Backup.

Please note that newer versions of Akeeba Backup REQUIRE PHP 5.2.7 or later and can ONLY be installed on Joomla! 1.5 and 1.7. Joomla! 1.6 is no longer supported and Akeeba Backup may crash the site. Please read the release announcements. I write them for a very good reason ;)

Thanks Nicholas - work late yesterday - and more problems when upgrading to 1.5.25 with Admin pro...
First time I have a problem with AdminPro update on many sites.

I have doubt on the 1.5.20 upgrade patch from joomla because using a trusted synchronizing tool I find 10 or more files that was newer in the full 1.5.25 full pack ??? β€” stange.

Anyway everything seem fine now.

I dont want to take out Akeeba bakup - This is my tool I use in all my sites. I just want to take out problematic files like Aklazy stuff and I don’t like to leive useless folders or files, just to keep thing clean.

plugins/system/aklazy.php β€” Ok I take that out and the aklazy.xml file and the alkazy folder with two others files...

plugins/system/srp.php β€” Don’t have that ??? Normal????

plugins/system/akeebaupdatecheck.php Don’t have that ??? Normal????

I just find the problem on that site a Ajax search Module (Pixsearch) trigger sometime Admintools to block my IP

I still need the infos for cleaning Aklazy -

I will post that problem in the Admin tools forum

Thanks!

DO NOT trust site sync tools. They only check file timestamps and sizes, the two most misleading things in the world. I can show you hacked files with the same size and timestamp and two IDENTICAL PHP files with different timestamps and sizes.

The missing plugins are because you don't have Akeeba Backup Professional. I didn't realise you only have an ATPRO subscription :)

Removing the XML files does not remove the plugin. Joomla! doesn't really care about the XML, as long as the .php file exists and there is a database entry in jos_plugins/jos_extensions. If either of those two is missing, Joomla! won't load the plugin.
