Description of my issue:

Hi,

I'm trying to update Akeeba Backup Pro to the latest version, and I get this message:

Warning

Joomla\Filesystem\File::delete: Failed deleting inaccessible file autoloader.php

Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_akeeba-pro.zip

Same thing whether trying to update directly or trying to install package file. Searching for the filename, I find various autoloader.php files in various directories.

Which file would this be about? And why would it not be accessible?

Thanks!

Hello,

usually this happens when you have a permission issue on your server: Joomla can't delete or overwrite the files it's trying to install.

Please enable the FTP layer inside Joomla Global Configuration, and supply the FTP credentials of your account; that should solve your issues.
