Description of my issue:

Backup on Update is actually broke. Yes I understand the icon is not in the footer anymore. but when I ran my joomla update, no backup ran.

Akeeba Backup on Update is not actually on the Joomla update page as per the ticket: "#34682 – Akeeba Backup on Update Not Working" and @tampe125 response to it here: https://www.akeeba.com/support/akeeba-backup-3x/Ticket/34682:akeeba-backup-on-update-not-working.html#p191442

tampe125 says: "It's the intended behavior: it's no longer an icon that loads in every page, but it's a link inside the Joomla update page."

Not it's not. When I update from the Joomla update page I see no such Backup on Update link and when I did my Joomla update, no backup ran (J3.9.24 > j3.9.25).

Backup On Update is enabled in the plugins area.

Please look at BOU to see where it is failing. Thank you.

FOF4 issue?

Don't know if this causes BoU to not work during an Joomla update.
