Hello, I know akeeba for years by Joomla and I am glad that it is also available for wordpress. However, currently I have a problem when restoring.
In point-page set the settings for the Super Admin missing completely. Thus, there is no access to the backend later.
This happens when I backed up a file online, this downloading, it continues working locally and later want to re-upload.
Screenshots I add.
Regards

Will

Hello,

can you please double check inside the configuration page what's the selected value for Include restore script?
Is it ANGIE for Wordpress or it's another value?

No, in Akeeba Backup Configuration.
You can reach that page form Akeeba Backup Control Panel

I ran some tests and I found a possible cause of the issue you reported.
Can you please install the latest dev release on you wordpress site, take a backup and try again?

Hi,
I've tried it like this: Download the .jpa file from the server. transfer of the file on the local server. replace the akeeba plugins 1.2.1 by your latest dev release (alpha). Akeeba Backup with new version (alpha). Uploading (.jpa) file on the server online. Then restore. Conclusion: error see screenshot. By the way, it works with the old version 1.1.5 akeeba ...

Best regards

Will

I'm very sorry, but in the latest dev release the changes I made were not included.
Can you please download the new dev version and try again?

Hi Italian neighbor ;-)
I have now tried it with the latest dev publication. now it works.

Similar problems I knew already with some new akeeba releases for Joomla.
I think it is important that the work between the local host and the server works.

Not all users have a relaly fast internet connection.
Please be sure that this works better in the future. All other costs too much precious time ...

Best Regards
