The ALICE Troubleshooter returns this error:
Timeout while backing up
There is already an issue with the backup engine saving its state. Please fix it before continuing.
Please try setting min execution time to 1, max execution time to 10 seconds (or if the PHP timeout is less than 10 seconds, use 75% of the PHP timeout), runtime bias 75%

I have set the max execution time to 50 seconds, so I can't see the problem

Suggestions?

Thanks.

Regards
Rune

The elapsed time on the backup job is just over a minute and it just started a new step so it doesn't look like a timeout. You are also not getting a retry, but that could be your configuration. Are you getting any errors on the screen when it stops?

Let's go to Configuration, on the Archiver Engine line, click the Configure button and set the Part size for split archives to 50. That is really small, if the backup completes, we can adjust it to find the ideal value.

Thanks. It works perfect if I split the file.

Thanks again for helping me :-)

You're welcome!

You can try a higher value for the split archive until you find the place where it stops again. Your host has a maximum size of a file your site can create. We just need to figure out what that size is and stay under it.
