We know that Akeeba is creating backups and storing them remotely in our Dropbox file structure but we are not receiving confirming emails using 2.1.1 (as opposed to 2.1.0 where exactly the same email setup is being used to our knowledge).

Oddly we can send and receive test emails from Akeeba to specified email addresses.

Please advise. Is this a known problem with 2.1.1?

Hello,

how are you triggering your backups?
Do you use native CRON or WGET?
What's the command you are issuing?
Akeeba Backup outputs the some messages during the backup process, usually the CRON daemon grabs them and then sends them to your email address.

Thanks, Davide.

We don't use native CRON or WGET. We are doing frontend backups using webCron org

What's the timeout set inside WebCron?
If you run a backend backup, how long does it take? Less than the timeout you set inside WebCron?
