This is actually a problem with restoring a Wordpress site to a new server using kickstart, but I can't log a call there

I'm bringing a site to my test server which runs using Wamp
The original site is www.z-to-a.com
on my test server it is ztoa (for some reason Wamp won't let me create z-to-a :-(

I run all the way through the restore until I get to the last screen where the domain name substitutions are made. Then it hangs. All I get it the flickering squares. No indication of which table is being searched or that anything is happening.
All the other sites I try to restore work fine.
I've tried

making a new backup
deleting the tables in the database that I'm restoring to

Still no success. Any ideas please

Thanks

Hello,

usually that happens because the remote server drops the connection because the restore process is using too many resources.
In the replace step, please click on the Show advanced settings button, you'll see more fields.
Please apply the following values:
Minimum execution time: 5 seconds
Maximum execution time: 3 seconds
Runtime bias: 50%

Yes, minimum is greater than maximum, that's not a typo. In this way the replace step will be slower, but it will complete.

OK, I'll give that a go

That fixed it

Incidentally - the runtime bias field had one of the admin usernames in it. How did it pick that up?

Most likely you have an autocomplete extension installed in your browser OR enabled autocomplete.
Please ignore it and set the bias manually.
