On Saturday, Jan 20, one of my sites started throwing a 500 error on the wordpress admin.

I contacted Rochen and asked them to look at the live logs.

They reported:

****************************************************************
The error being displayed is listed as : [20-Jan-2018 23:19:50 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class 'Akeeba\Engine\Base\BaseObject' not found in /home/experience1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp/helpers/Platform/Wordpress/Finalization/TestExtract.php on line 26
****************************************************************

I manually disabled the extension by renaming the folder then re-installed Akeeba Pro for WP and we are back to normal.

My question is: What would have caused this?

Hello,

sometimes during the installation phase some files are not entirely copied.
Usually installing it again fixes the problem. If this was just a one-time issue, there's nothing to worry about.
