Good day Nicholas as per your e-mail I have followed all instructions to update our Akeeba Backup plu-in and have run into this error

An error occurred during the download of the update file
cURL library error #60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

Can you help with this.

Hello,

most likely your server doesn't have a valid certificate installed.
This is something we have fixed in newer versions of Akeeba Backup. Please manually download and install the latest version, you can find further info at this page of the manual.
