Dear Akeeba Team,

I applied the update Akeeba Backup Pro  8.0.0.2 -> 8.1.0  on 2023-11-11 according to your instruction manually. Auto-update option for the plugin is enabled. Some days ago version 8.1.1 appeared, but cannot be installed automatically, Today, I tried to update 8.1.0 to 8.1.1 manually, but got the error: Update failed: Update package not available - see attachment. Could you help pls.? Regards Gerd

As noted in the release notes for 8.1.1, you dan update from 8.1.0 to 8.1.1 by going to your site's wp-admin, Akeeba Backup, and clicking on Update Found.

The full integration with WordPress' plugins update feature was disabled until we were absolutely sure there are no problems. Version 8.1.1 restores that full integration. Once you install 8.1.1 you will be able to upgrade to any future version, whenever it's released, using any update method.

Dear Nicholas,

sorry for not reading the release notes for 8.1.1 carefully. Update via your proposed method worked perfectly!

Many thanks!

Gerd
