Hi there,

every time I backup the process halts a couple of times for a few seconds, then restarts and the backup process continues and ends successfully (it seems).

I'm trying to navigate the log file in search of those errors but the file is huge, maybe you have some tips for me on how to find out more about the errors reported in the log file.

If necessary, I am gonna post a link to the log file.

Thanks

Well, if there are error messages due to deterministic causes they are more or less straightforward e.g. you ran out if disk space. For slightly trickier situations where there's either a deterministic cause or at least a highly probable cause we have ALICE, the automated log analyser for failed backups. Anything beyond that is tricky. It requires someone who has the experience reading these log files, understands how Akeeba Backup works under the hood, knows how servers work and can figure out the root cause by seeing what is logged, when and how. In other words, it takes either me or Davide to help with that. That's what you are paying us for :)

Please do ZIP and attach your log file. Remember that attachments are private, even in public tickets. This means that only us developers and you, the person who submitted the ticket, can see the attachments on the public ticket.

Thanks Nicholas,

I will try to do this for now: I will run a backup and I will screenshot the error message. I'll let you know on this ticket.

Again many thanks.
