Hi

We've just unconvered an issue with ATS 4.0.7. I don't know exactly how long it's been going on, may have been a while. Issue is as follow:

 

- create a ticket (frontend in our case) that includes a <pre></pre> bit, for instance:

<pre><a href="https://example.com">Test link</a></pre>

- submit ticket

- edit again that ticket

- the code within the <pre> tag has been decoded and is now a live link instead of the raw code

- it the edited ticket is saved, we now have a live link instead of actual code.

 

I initially thought this was linked to JCE, but it's not. Ryan looked into it and reproduced on his side. Can be reproduced with any editor.

I tried to edit back my post above, and the link code is not transformed to a live code. Assuming you're running ATS 5.x, the issue may only exist in the older brancj.

Our site uses ATS 5 since we are on Joomla 4. On ATS 5 we use the EditorField to abstract the interaction with the HTML editor. On ATS 4 we were calling the editor directly.

The fix for your issue is the only change. All the development focus is on the Joomla 4 versions.
