Hello Akeeba Support,
I recently purchased Akeeba Ticket System Professional and have encountered a serious performance issue in the Joomla administrator area.
The rest of my Joomla website and backend is very fast, but opening the ATS ticket list sometimes takes between 10 and more than 20 seconds.
Affected URL:
/administrator/index.php?option=com_ats&view=tickets
My installation:
Joomla 6.1.1
PHP 8.3
Akeeba Ticket System Professional
Shared hosting at ALL-INKL
Approximately 11,900 registered Joomla users
Only a small number of ATS support staff and tickets
I recorded the page load using the browser developer tools and exported a HAR file, which I have attached.
The analysis shows:
Main HTML request: approximately 11.16 seconds
Server waiting time / TTFB: approximately 11.09 seconds
HTML transfer time: approximately 65 milliseconds
Generated HTML size: approximately 594 KB
Total number of elements on the page: approximately 12,112
The main issue appears to be the batch assignment field:

This single select field contains approximately 11,917 user entries and seems to load almost every registered Joomla user.
The normal “Assigned to” filter contains only a few support users, but the batch assignment field loads the complete Joomla user list.
This one field generates approximately 489 KB of HTML, representing more than 80% of the complete page source.
It therefore appears that ATS retrieves, processes and renders nearly 12,000 Joomla users every time the backend ticket list is opened. This seems to be the main cause of the very long server response time and the additional browser rendering delay.
Could you please confirm whether this is the intended behaviour?
Would it be possible to:
only load users who are authorised ATS support staff,
replace the field with an AJAX-based user search,
or provide a way to disable the batch “Assign to” field?
Simply hiding the field with CSS would not solve the problem because all user options would still be generated by PHP.
I would appreciate your help, as ATS otherwise meets my requirements very well. However, the current loading time makes the ticket administration difficult to use.
The HAR file containing the complete request data is attached.
Kind regards,
Mark

The Assigned to filter will only show you a list of the users that have the Support Staff privilege. If you see all 12,000 users on your site in that field it means everyone on your site is a support ticket system manager.
