After updating to CMS update 1.0.4 I can no longer open Pro Admin Tools or Backup, instead only getting:
An error has occurred. 500 JHtmlBehavior::core not found.
Uninstalling Admin Tools, Backup and CMS update does not fix it. This has now happened to every site I have tried it on using various 3.3+ Joomla versions.

I have tested it on a fresh install and could not replicate the problem, so presume it is only on upgraded versions.

Which version of Joomla! are you using?

3.2.3 up to 3.4
On the current one I'm testing it on, Joomla 3.2.3, Bakup pro 3.10.2 continued to work after updating CMS Update from 1.0.3 to 1.0.4, but both admin & backup break now I have updated to latest versions. These are all old sites, with Joomla core having been updated many times.

On this particlar site I was able to disable backup pro so I could run the native update, upgrade it to 3.4.0, then reenable all the plugins and it works. Will test this now on another one that is not working.

Ok, I can confirm this fixes the problem. Using native update fixes my broken sites, but you have to disable the non working backup tools to be able to run the native update; so something in CMS update must have caused it however. It may be worth waiting to see if anyone else has this issue, now that I know how I can fix my sites...

OK, I see what's going on. Joomla! 3.2 has some API differences to 3.3/3.4. And just think that Joomla! 3 was supposed to not break backwards compatibility between 3.x releases. *sigh*

Yup, on another I have just tested without disabling anything, and just running native update to 3.4 fixes it just fine.

Can you please test something for me? Using it on Joomla! 3.3 sites (not 3.2 or 3.4), does it cause an error?

Found a 3.3.6 and that was fine, no problems installing. Not sure if I had CMS update 1.0.3 on that though beforehand, if that makes any odds.

max-design
On another 3.3.6 that did have CMS 1.0.3, it updated fine and no problems at all.

OK, that's what I thought reading the code from Joomla! 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4. Joomla! 3.2 uses behavior.framework to load jQuery and they Joomla! CMS core Javascript whereas Joomla! 3.3 and 3.4 use behavior.core. You can't use behavior.framework on 3.3/3.4 and you can't use behavior.core on 3.2, so I guess the only possible thing for me to do is declare Joomla! 3.2 both officially and unofficially unsupported as of now (we had stopped officially supporting it about a year ago).

Thanks for your help - and at least its a simple fix for anyone else who finds this issue - just upgrade Joomla!
