Hi,

How do you setup and run the new Unite 4.0.

I have Unite 3.x and it has many files, but v4.0 has one main file.

Thanks, Mark

Thanks, Mark

Hello,

we changed the package to be one single archive, instead of having several files.
However, this doesn't change UNiTE usage: you can run it with the command php unite.phar settings.xml.

Hi,

I'm sorry but I need more details. I don't understand this command:
php unite.phar settings.xml
Where do I put it?

In my cron jobs; this has not changed below?:
php -q /home/username/public_html/unite/unite.php

How about my directory, same?:
public_html/unite/inbox

What files do I delete?

How about my file, same?:
public_html/unite/inbox/myrestoresite.xml

I NEVER worked with .phar files before.

I need a setup guide or manual for setting up Unite 4.0?

I'm so confused.

Thanks, Mark

Thanks, Mark

You simply have to replace unite.php with unite.phar. Think about PHAR files as a kind of EXE files for windows

In my cron jobs; this has not changed below?:

php -q /home/username/public_html/unite/unite.php
It will become php -q /home/username/public_html/unite/unite.phar

How about my directory, same?:

public_html/unite/inbox
It will remain the same (create it if there isn't in UNiTE folder).

What files do I delete?
You can copy all your XML configuration files to a safe location, delete the whole UNiTE folder and then extract the new version.

How about my file, same?:

public_html/unite/inbox/myrestoresite.xml
Yes, it will remain the same.

Hi,

Okay. Thanks! I'll try that.

What about a custom file I made for v3.x? It's here: "/engine/step/custom.php"
and this file where I added the command to "/engine/scripting/02_angie.ini"

Thanks, Mark

Thanks, Mark

I'm sorry but we removed the option to add custom steps in version 4 since almost no one was using it.

Hi,

This answer below would of helped me better:
==============================

Cron:
php -q /home/username/public_html/unite/unite.phar settings.xml

in unite dir:
/unite/unite.phar
/unite/settings.xml
/unite/backupfile.jpa

==============================

Putting files in the "/unite/inbox/", dir does not work.

Everything is working correctly, site restored.

I was able to fix the custom file, and its working. I just need to update it.

Thanks, Mark
